After IS800 Bluetooth Headset, Sony Ericson is all ready to launch yet another interesting accessory – MS500 wireless speaker. MS500 is a 2 watt, bluetooth 2.1 wireless speaker for listening to music. Sony Ericson’s new wireless speaker is good, but like any gadget or accessory this one too has its flaws.
First let’s read the advantages that the Sony Ericson MS500 wireless speaker has:
• You can connect the speaker with almost all devices (except the iPhone and the ubiquitous Nokia)
• The design is pretty good.
• Sony Ericson wireless speaker is splash proof
• If you connect the speaker with any Sony Ericson walkman headset, the resultant voice quality is amazing.
• The reception range is good. (The speakers would play good audio even the device is in other closed room).
• The battery life is for 5 hours, which is pretty good.
• Also, you can use rechargeable batteries in the speaker.
So those were the positive features of Sony Ericson’s wireless speaker. Now read below a few flaws:
• The speaker doesn’t not work well when connected with Nokia cell phone and iPhone, which makes it not desirable for those with iPhones and Nokia cell phones. (Give it a try using it with some Nokia phone, the voice quality is really poor).
• The user cannot control the volume of the speaker. To set the volume you need to use your cell phone.
• The quality of voice is good only for a quite place, not when you are driving your bike or so.
That was a little about advantages and some disadvantages of Sony Ericson’s MS500 wireless speaker. You may want to see what the new wireless speaker looks like, click Sony Ericson MS500 Wireless Speaker.
But the greatest hurdle, which is a very strong one, this speaker may encounter is the iPhone mismatch. After all, who would want a speaker, wireless though, that doesn’t go with their iPhones?
