OS 4.0 has been based on the seven “tentpole” features, each making the iPhone that much better. Unfortunately, only the 3rd generation IPod Touch and iPhone 3G will be able to support OS 4.0 for the IPhone. The operating system might otherwise be purchased with same day loans.

The first iPhone 4.0 feature is multitasking

This is what many people hoped to find as part of the OS 4.0 iPhone feature, and it is not here. Multitasking for the iPhone isn’t going to be true multitasking. Instead, OS 4.0 iPhone multitasking will be based on “pausing” or “minimizing” the processor load of applications. Games, VOIP calls, and Pandora will continue to run in a dock at the bottom of your screen and iPhone applications will switch quickly between each other. Any conversations, such as IM or Twitter, are not currently included in the multitasking on OS 4.0 iPhone operations.

OS 4.0 iPhone Feature 2: Folders

iPhone and iPad systems had a popular hack that was simple, adding folder management. Now, OS 4.0 iPhone users will be able to organize their apps into folders without hacking the iPhone.

OS 4.0 iPhone Feature 3: Enhanced Mail

The enhanced mail will first and foremost have a unified mailbox for the OS 4.0 iPhones. This means your e-mails from any source can all be dumped into one inbox – or sorted into their own folders. Also, conversations will be a way that the OS 4.0 iPhone sorts messages.

The iBook is the fourth OS iPhone 4.0 feature

Now the iBook application will be available to those who have OS 4.0 iPhone. Buy, read and enjoy books on your iPhone. It is a simple concept although dangerous to some with a debt management plan.

OS 4.0 iPhone Feature 5: Enterprise Features

The OS 4.0 iPhone’s fifth feature is really targeted towards 80 percent of 100 companies that use the iPhone. You will have more VPN options, app distribution, mobile device management, and data protection. Ask your IT guy if you need help breaking those down.

OS 4.0 iPhone Feature 6: Game Center

The App store currently has over 50,000 game titles. The new OS 4.0 iPhone will have a social gaming platform like that of the Xbox Live. Leaderboards, matchmaking and achievement tracking for all the time-wasting games that are great on the bus ride to work.

The seventh OS 4.0 iPhone feature, iAd

Steve Jobs didn’t pull any punches when he talked about the advertising platform on OS 4.0 iPhones. To put it bluntly, he said “we think most of this kind of advertising sucks.”The iAd will give 1 billion advertising opportunities a day, meaning that 10 ads a day will show up on your OS 4.0 iPhone when using applications for at least 30 minutes. The iAds will look like they are applications being run in applications. {Jobs promises “interactive” and “emotion-filled” ads}. Any developers who plan to let iAds into their applications will get a 40% split on any advertising profit.

Availability of the OS 4.0 iPhone?

If you are a developer, then OS 4.0 iPhone kits are available today. This is so when the OS 4.0 iPhone sales start this summer, there will be a lot of applications available. If you are an iPad user, then the OS 4.0 iPhone will be released in the fall.

In other terms you could say, a computer without Internet is just like a plain box you would hardly use – may be just for listening to songs or watching a movie or use MS office, and nothing much beyond that. Also, though Internet is the most important part, we are always worried about our Operating System (OS) – what if some important data is lost,  It takes like ages to show up the desktop, blah..blah….there are hundreds of problems our OS causes. Okay, here comes the interesting part – Google is going to launch its Google Chrome Operating System in 2010, that will solve all such problems.

You must have heard of, in fact may may have used Google Chrome as a browser, but what is Google Chrome OS? In simplest of terms, Google Chrome OS will act as your browser and also your Operating System. That means when you switch on your computer, you will not have to wait for you Operating System to load programmes and then reach the desktop page where you can click on the browser icon to get connected to the Internet. Sounds different? It sure does.

The best part about Google Chrome OS would be that since everything is going to be stored on the cloud, you will be saved the worry of loosing any important data.  So that was a little about the new Google Chrome OS, which is slated to be launched officially sometime in the coming year, 2010.

You would want to watch this video on what is Google Chrome OS and how is it a useful application.  Google always comes out with useful and easy-to-use applications. With Google Chrome OS out in the market for public usage, it sure will make usage of computers a lot more different than the way we use them now.
