Ipad V HP Slate
Since the early 1990’s Microsoft and Apple have been keen competitors with their completely different operating systems. Microsoft Windows have always had the edge despite Apple having what many people argue is the better operating system. In fact at one point, Apple Corporation was failing miserably.
Within the last decade however Apple has narrowed the gap between the two corporations, coming out with one innovative gadget after the other, (think Ipod, Iphone etc). Microsoft introduced the Zune as an alternative to Apple’s Ipod, however the IPod over time has been proved to be the better product, and Apple have seized the market in this type of gadget.
We’re now in a brand new decade, and it looks once again as if Microsoft and Apple are getting ready for yet another electronics war.
apple has been heralding their brand new Ipad device for a number of months and it looks as though it will finally be on sale sometime in April 2010. The Apple Ipad is a very impressive lightweight tablet touch screen gadget.
The Ipad is a huge development for Apple, and if it proves to be as “cool” as the presale hype suggests, it should help to keep Apple firmly at the top for this type of gadget.
The biggest contenders to the tablet crown come (again) from Microsoft who have joined up with Hewlett Packard and very recently announced the entry of their own comparable product called the HP Slate.
Microsoft and HP may well win this coming battle as it’s already been stated that the HP Slate will be much more affordable than the Ipad but will have comparable features.
It will be interesting to see whether Apple diehard fans will ensure that Apple remain unconquered with the launch of the Ipad, or Microsoft will be able to make inroads into the market. Only time will tell.
